The
Family Technology Resource Center (FTRC) Initiative was launched in DeKalb County, Georgia in 1996. It is an exciting community and family education program for all residents of DeKalb County including DeKalb County School System employees. More than 24 FTRCs provide community access to technology and computer-based learning. Centers encourage parental participation and involvement in the classroom and promote meaningful business partnerships that address community needs and interests. FTRCs support improved student achievement and attendance, and facilitate increased job skills training and employment for participants.
